In October of 2023 Steve at Spirit West suggested that I would be interested in joining his trek in Nepal to Everest Base Camp via Gokyo. I immediately said, "Yes!" While preparing for the trek over the winter (this consisted mostly of having hot chocolates at the Bragg Creek Bakery & Cafe) I was browsing Facebook one day, a couple of months before departure, when an interesting post popped onto my feed. Himalayan Motorbike Tours had a tour from Kathmandu, Nepal to Lahsa, Tibet on Royal Enfield motorcycles, departing on May 13, 2024, the day after the trek to Everest Base Camp ended. I didn't think too long about needing to take advantage of this opportunity. After all, when is the next time I am going to be in Kathmandu?The trek to Everest Base Camp
